   Are you insured and registered with any governing bodies?

Yes. I am fully insured and am a member of Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy Practitioner Association (QCHPA) and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

    Will I lose control and say or do things that I don’t want to?

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is not like the hypnotherapy that you see on TV shows.  Cognitive Hypnotherapy will not make you do or say anything that you do not want to. By being in a light trance state you will remain fully in control and aware of everything you say and do.

 What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?


Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a client led solution focused therapy that draws on traditional and established techniques to create a truly individual therapy experience. By drawing on elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Gestalt technique, Positive Psychology, and many more techniques, I can tailor the treatment to you personally, meaning that you are truly getting a bespoke service. This means that no two phobias, addictions or low self-confidence etc. is ever treated in the exact same way. Each person is an individual and with Cognitive Hypnotherapy the treatment is too.

   How many sessions will I need?

On average between 4-6 sessions is enough for most clients to make lasting changes. However, like everything else Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an individual experience and you may find that less or more sessions are required to make a permanent lasting change.  Sometimes a client may decide to continue sessions to address further areas of their life, or return to Cognitive Hypnotherapy after some time has passed.

   How long is each session?

Initial consultation sessions are 90 minutes. After this the standard session time is 60 minutes.
In some cases such as phobias and stopping smoking sessions can be extended to a double session of 120 minutes.

Do I need to go into a deep trance when hypnotised?

Cognitive Hypnotherapy does not require you to go into a deep trance to get results. Instead all that is required is a light everyday trance – the kind you go into when you are daydreaming. How often have you watched a TV show and it is only after it has ended that you realise you remember nothing about the programme? It is this light trance that we use to access your answers and work with you towards your solution state.  

   Do you offer a guarantee?

No, unfortunately no therapist can offer a guarantee.  I really do believe that Cognitive Hypnotherapy can result in huge positive change for clients, as has been the case for myself and my past clients.

   How much does a session cost?

Sessions are charged based on location and centre pricing structure. For more information on session charges please contact me and I will be happy to supply more detailed information.

I offer a free 15 minute initial phone consultation appointment, in which time we can discuss your issue and how I can help. If after this free 15 minute session you, I, or both of us think that this is not the right therapy, or that I’m not the right therapist for you then there is no obligation to make a follow up appointment.

   Where did you train?

I trained with the world renowned Quest Institute under the tutorage of Trevor Silvester at Regents College, London.

Following graduation from this course, I chose to continue studying with the Quest Institute and qualified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner (NLP MPrac) in November 2016.
